We use a two-tier judging process. First, a panel of judges reviews all submissions to create a longlist of the best stories. Then, professional judges carefully evaluate the longlisted stories to select the winners and honorable mentions. This ensures a fair and comprehensive evaluation.
Yes! You can "reroll" your prompt up to twice if you're looking for different inspiration. This gives you some flexibility while still maintaining the challenge of writing to a prompt.

You retain all rights to your story. Twist in the Tale does not claim any ownership of your work. After the competition, you're free to submit your story elsewhere or publish it as you wish.
We understand that life happens! If you're unable to complete your story, you can withdraw from the competition. While this means you won't be eligible for individual prizes, your teammates can still win their individual prizes and team bonuses.
